Awesome Weekend!

Sunday, October 07, 2012

Went to local Oktoberfest yesterday. It was terrific!

The 10th Mountain Division army band played German music, which was great.

Then the 10th Mountain Division rock band Avalanche played many of my favorites, past and present.

Farmers' marked yielded a rainbow of vegetables and fruit, including red, orange and yellow peppers, swiss chard, blueberries, eggplant and grapes; as well as cherry tomatoes, acorn squash, yellow squash, zucchini. I had quite a bounty to bring home. I'm going to cook most of the squash and freeze it, so I can have the taste of fall all through the winter!

Today's plans are church, a walk in the crisp, cool, sunny air, then rest and football along with exercise bike.

I hope everyone is having a weekend as awesome as mine!

Bests wishes!

Oooh sounds like a great farmer's market. And wow, what an great idea to ride a bike while watching football! I may have to try that, since I feel like I'm sitting on my backside far too much on Sundays while watching the games! :D So glad you had a wonderful weekend.

Sounds like a great day! Wish there was something like that here, would be so nice to be able to buy fresh vegetables without worrying about them killing you!
