Thanksgiving Weekend

Sunday, October 07, 2012

I am home from the hospital now with a plan of action to get healthy again. I am glad to be home as I missed being here but was very grateful for being in hospital as well. I am still not great but a few days at home should help. I will keep a close watch on my temperature as per Dr. instructions and if it goes up to 38.5 C I will return to hospital. Also need to pass gallstones and kidney stones - but if this becomes too much return I shall. It will take 3-6 weeks to see the Urologist hopefully by then the treatment plan will be working. The CT scan shows a large mass around my right kidney but with all the other things going on in my right abdomen and flank it is impossible to know what it is. The pain gets excruciating is all I know. When I went to hosp was fading in and out of consciousness because my temp was so high. Strange how it just nailed me all at once, but it forces me to pay attention. For the next 3 weeks I need to up my water intake from 4 litres to 6 litres. Although for the past several days have had no water and no food because of the multitude of tests. I will mend from this it is a setback - a bump in the road. But this maybe what causes the fluid retention that I constantly struggle with.
Time will tell I guess.
