Selling books online, easy? Not if you are doing it as a business and are keeping records.
Figuring out the best practices, posting on different venues, learning all the rules, its really time intensive.
I spend from 6 am to usually 9 pm, on the computer, adding new books, uploading corrections, researching prices, posting, reading, adding things. I have a background in ecommerce, site building, marketing. I thought it would be easier for me. Nope, its not.
In between I clean the house (sort of), cook food, clean up, clean up, clean up, do laundry, walk the dog, food shopping, and my favorite, hitting the thrift stores to find more books. I probably have about 500 more in my house I need to get into inventory but I need a break from the computer sometimes!
I have found a great way to watch what your eating junk wise. DON'T BUY JUNK FOOD.
If its not in the house you can't eat it! So my eating is great because there is no garbage food in the house. That said...
Last night we had a totally unplanned family night. We rented the Avengers, ordered Pizza Hut and hung out. There are not many of those nights any more, the "kids" are 19 & 24, and hanging out with mom & dad is not the thrill it used to be LOL.
I only had 4 pieces of pizza, they are pretty small pieces. I stopped eating, even though I wanted to eat more. Back in the day, I would have just eaten and eaten and eaten. So even though I ate pizza, I ate it more responsibility than I used to.
The Avengers were pretty good, not as good as I was hoping for but good.
So life's rolling along pretty good. I'm feeling the urge to get back to my walking, especially since its so nice in the mornings now. Still oppressive heat in the afternoons though.
Tomorrow I have to haul my butt over to Tampa to court for a speeding ticket I got in July. The cop said I was doing 94 in a 65 zone. I don't think I was but it ends up being more expensive and time consuming if you fight it so I'll plead "no contest" and hope the judge will listen to my explanation
and takes into account I don't have a single ticket on my record.
Will see how that goes.
My BFF's dad died yesterday after a couple years medical issues from a car accident. I'm so sad for her, wish I could physically be there for her, but she's 1200 miles away in another state.
Off I go, hundreds of books to list.
