Feeding the Correlation

I felt like crap earlier this week. My ankle hurt, I was very tired, and a bit cranky. Man, what could it be? I couldn't help but it something I am eating?

Today I bought almond butter, almonds, walnuts, a few snacks, and lots of produce. LOTS: jicama, apples, mineolas, mandarins, broccoli, carrots, parsnips and kale.

Kale? what the...kale? I don't know what to do with it, but I am going to try to do something. I am pretty sure my body is craving something better. I am stopping my quest to lose weight, temporarily. I am going to eat to FEEL BETTER. I am going to take care of myself in a different way to feel better. That is all. I am done abusing my body in the name of coping. I am going to treat myself to a wellness break, just so I can feel better.

What do you do to make yourself feel better, sparkies?

    My sweet lil angel sis,

First, I am sooooooooo PROUD of you for doing something very special for your body to try to discover what it is craving.

Second, Kale is (to me) an expensive form of lettuce that a lot of people use, especially for juicing veggies and drinking it because it is a high quality lettuce with lots of vitamins and minerals in it.

I am PROUD of you also for doing what is right for YOU!

    I've used kale in chili before. Everyone liked it. SP recipe section has some good choices for just about anything. I hope you are feeling better soon Mar. Eating to feel better sounds like a win win situation to me..

    Great way to react to your body! I use Kale in a soup recipe that I have. It can be crunchy. I have never cooked it like spinach.

    I like adding kale to soups! or search online for a kale chip recipe - a little oil and salt - yummy!
