Selfish, Inconsiderate People

Saturday, October 06, 2012

Today it was the first Saturday of the month. Every first Saturday of the month, unless there is a conflict such as a funeral, wedding, or holiday, the ladies at our church holds our missionary league meeting. Today, we were to bring a tea cup or tea pot for something fun to share with others, like Show and Tell for adults. It is always fun to see what people brought and if they have a story to share about the item. Well, today I did not get to go, but it was through no fault of my own. I rent a house/teacherage from the school I teach at which is basically attached to the bus garage. The garage I park my car in is free-standing. Today someone parked behind my garage door so I could not get out of my garage. I had no idea whose vehicle it was nor had any means to move the vehicle. I put a note on a 6x12 piece of cardboard saying please do not park behind my car because I missed an important event and ended it with a question of why would you park in front of someone's garage door anyway? I didn't get a response but the message left was loud and clear. The note had been thrown down in front of my garage door with little regard for me or the impact their actions had on me. I don't get to do much as far as a social life because I work so hard at my job so this is a nice change once a month. ONCE a month and it was taken away from me by an inconsiderate and selfish person. This is such a small town it will be easy to find out who did this, but it shows me their lack of class so I doubt they will feel embarrassed or foolish. SO sad.

CELIAMINER and BOOKWERME have given excellent advice - I'd jump on taking it! Seems like a CRIME was committed here, and personally I wouldn't give mercy - in fact, I'd insist on "making an example" of the perpetrator! Sorry you were screwed over!

I am so sorry that this happened. It is unbelievable that people can be so inconsiderate. Exactly why anyone would park in front of someone else's garage door is beyond me.
Hope you are having a better week.
Blessings and hugs,
Helen

If you haven't done so already, a no parking sign put up there might help prevent future incidents. Also, taking a photo of the car and license and then doing as Sunny suggested...ask the police for help. They have tow trucks..and the car owner will have to pay the cost of the car being towed. Sorry you missed out on your event.

I would have called the police to ask for their help in getting the car moved. They could look up the owner's name and ask for the car to be moved, or at the very least, ticket the car.

*%&#$% jerk! Can you get a tow sign and then call a tow truck to haul the jack@$$'s car away? I would have been livid!

I'm sorry about your loss of spending time with special ladies. I also pray you were able to enjoy your day at home, in spite of the inconvenience.
