How much wood can a woodchuck chuck?

Saturday, October 06, 2012

My husband and son are helping my son's friend move today. A little after 4 PM , the doorbell rang and it was the hauling man's mother-in-law asking if my husband was home, they had at least a pickup truck of wood to give us, maybe more.

This will be a hassle for us right now because of the spouting and window contractors being here. I tend to think that I am going to get the wood any way, so they can get it out of their way. Several weeks ago, we thought we were going to be getting it, but nobody showed up and we moved on to other things. If they deliver it to our house, we will have to move it tomorrow, so it will be out of the way of the contractors on Monday. I tried to phone my husband and son, neither one answered.

Dang when that happens. They will be tired after all that work moving.

Don't you hate it when cell phones AREN'T answered!?!?! I know you don't want to turn down the wood, but I hate to think of you doing all that work by yourself. Take care and I hope it all works out well for you. emoticon

Always good when people think of you and bring free wood

That is great that you are getting the wood - I know that's a worry for you in the winter. You have lots of positive things going on around your home all at once! And you will be burning lots of calories moving and splitting that wood!

Try not to get pushed into "overload". I know how hard you like to work.

Where's a good man when ya need 'im? *hugs* Hey~ sounds like you've got more irons in the fire than you can say grace over. I completely identify! Hope the woodman returns and the boys are back to unload it for you. We are reveling in some gloriously cooler weather~ just wishing it would last a while. Be well, my friend~ *hugs* BB~ emoticon

I guess you have cold winters and a fireplace! Two things I don't have. Enjoy your wood.
