About 3 weeks ago I had surgery on my ankle to have some tendons repaired. (the injury happened in april and it took until sept for the surgeon to decide it was surgical) So for the last 3 weeks I have not been able to bear weight on the foot, I sit on the couch and watch my thighs and backside getting larger.....I do see a light at the end of the tunnel though, I have an appt with the surgeon next friday and by then I should be able to do some light walking.....here comes the kicker. On thurs night after dinner I had huge pain in my upper abdomen about 45 minutes after eating, I threw up my dinner and felt better immediately....I thought I had food poisoning and went to bed. The next morning I ate my breakfast only to have that pain return a hour after I ate, again I threw up but this time the pain did not go away. My mother on friday stays with me to keep me company and help me with some light house work, (my mom is the bomb I love her so much). She takes me to the emergency room where I had a ultrasound and find out I have gallstones and will have to have my gallbladder out. The ER dr told me to go home, eat small meals and contact a surgeon next week to make appt to have it removed....the problem is everytime I eat I get that huge pain....it last about 5-10 minutes but it is the worst pain....even labor did not hurt this bad......so my question is when is it going to end? When do I get my life back? I have a huge trip planned in 3 weeks to go to my brother in laws wedding and I am worried what condition I am going to be in for this trip......I know I will feel better once everything is healed, but really, I think I am done with all these repairs....I am only 47 but starting to feel a whole lot older......
