Thinking back

Saturday, October 06, 2012

I went on vacation in Sept. Telling all at work goodbye & summer was over. Whew.
On to the Sierra's we went ...pet's and all! Trying out the new (old) Ram Turbo pulling the toy hauler/self-contained trailer we'd never put on the road before!
Adventure in the air! The first couple days were going fine! Then I dropped a heavy object I was moving around in the trailer on my right foot! Then the vent/escape hatch blew off the trailer which was put inside the doorway which I connected with my right little toe! OUCH! son*#!!^ch! That hurt One night Paul gets up close & personal with a bear in the back of the truck trying to get in the slider window!! He got something out of the back of the truck!!! Yikes!!!
He caught some trout on the tirp! He has a favorite spot on a creek in Lee Vining.
Then all is well until we get to N. California & visiting a friend there. I'm standing in doorway & my dog wants out on her leash as Paul is putting them in his truck. She shoves by me & down to driveway I go! Well, body doesn't register all the owies from that fall until I get home & day later re-injure myself! I am still recovering from these things! Sure takes a lot longer now! No more bouncing back! But, over all the trip was great. Looking forward to the next adventure.
Paul will soon take the trailer on a hunting trip with the guys and then I will brave a long distance trip to Northern Cal.

Holidays sure bring their challenges. Lovely to see you home, somewhat battered but still kicking.

I think 'adventure' was the right word for this! What a great way to look at things, still positive about your trip in spite of the problems! Enjoy your next adventure! emoticon
