Food Friday, Catch up Food Logs, Current Status

Saturday, October 06, 2012

Horrible state to be in, but I've just felt bad recently I'm not sure if it's just what happens when one is sick (my throats been sore and I've felt dizzy), but I've also been feeling like doing nothing all week. Today and yesterday I did pretty well at eating only 3 meals a day. My stomach felt weird the past 48 hours, and I'm not sure if my throat made me feel hungry (when your hungry sometimes you feel it in your throat too (right?)) but I was hungry a lot Thursday, also Wednesday, but today I've not been hungry, but I knew it was basically time to eat.

THURSDAY

Sonia, I tried the sandwich. The hash brown works better by itself because you can't taste it in the sandwich. :-(

I don't feel like walking, I don't feel like cooking. I just feel like staying in my calorie range. This has just been a weird awkward three week span for me.

THURSDAY, was just a bad day. My grandparents kept bringing up the conversation of poop whenever I started putting food into my mouth and I wanted to stab them with a fork but I didn't because I'm nice like that. Whether it was that organic chicken eggs are brown because they're poop stained, or them telling me they're gonna wash the nasty bird poop off my car because it's completely covered in nasty bird poop. Whenever I ate they felt obliged to bring up the subject. That's why I eat in my room where I can concentrate :-P

I didn't run, or walk, then at night I felt even more awful and my foot was very painful. I hope it's not autumn/winter depression, and I'm worried that this sickness is all in my head. Because it's not just a sickness, it's a motivation thing too.

Salmon or other fish is just a typical friday thing here.

Friday my grandmother needed to go to the store, so I drove her their while sick. She got a flu shot while there, but I don't touch the things. I bought a "Sweet Dumpling Squash" which I'll probably try on Sunday. I wasn't a fan of the acorn squash, so I gave the uneaten half to my grandmother.
I gargled with salt water which made my throat feel a little better. So tomorrow I am going to run.
A scale victory I had today was that this morning with my clothes on I was at my sunday weight. So I'll probably have a loss this week despite the funk that I'm in. An NSV I have is similar to last Friday...

This is prob a month difference. The pic is hard to see, but bottom left it was a little tighter on me. My 44's are sagging now, I'm not sure if they are too big, or if they're too small. The legs are still a little tight.

Food time, this week you've seen small glimpses of what I've eaten.

Like Fish Friday

And Breakfast Sandwich with crispy hash brown Thursday

And Eggplant Parm Wednesday

And Hummuses. :-D

I've consumed 9271 calories in the past 5 days.

Next week I'm probably not gonna post a blog every day. I'm not sure if it's because I'm not feeling well, the food blogs wear me out, or if I'm just in a rut right now, but I'm not getting as much out of writing right now, so I'll take a break and just update my status when necessary. If I have something to share then I'll blog that day, but I'm not going to try and do it so religiously next week.

BLC 16 is going to be completing the first half of the game next week. If I can get down to 281.2 next week then that would be fantastic, because that means I've lost 10/20 pounds for my goal. For some reason I definitely thought I'd be losing better this time around. :-P

haha, see, I thought the hashbrown would get lost in the sandwich...I'd much rather savour it's crispy goodness! And old people have nothing to talk about except bodily functions...it is their only joy they have left in life...well, not really, but ya know! And yay for the no muffin top...such an awesome feeling!!!! We'll understand if you don't blog as much, sometimes we just need a breather so we can regroup while staying focused....you got this!

Hey there sunshine!
Your food blogs are awesome. I wish I knew the how of doing that. I don't even know how to download (?) pics from my camera or iphone to the computer. Sad, I know, but hey, I'm busy doing other stuff! One of these days. I'm sorry you're feeling crappy. That is never fun. Gargling is good to do and will help your throat. Soup? My favorite veggie soup is basically a chop and toss; you can put just about anything in it and let it simmer. I start off with a little bit of olive oil and add celery, carrots, onions, garlic, and saute all of that. Add veggie stock and then add cubed white potato, butternut squash, corn, limas, green beans, baby carrots, a couple of big cans of diced tomatoes. Sometimes I'll throw a bag of chopped frozen okra in there too. It basically "melts down" and you don't see it, but it adds a thickness to the soup. Feel better sweetie!!

Remember when you are ill it throws everything out of balance. This is especially true for your emotions. You should make sure you are getting enough rest and liquids then determine how you feel after a few days. If I am reading your blog correctly you are eating your meals in under 10 minutes. If this is the case you need to slow down and savor your food for at least 20 minutes.

Best
