It has been almost 3 months since I got back on the wagon so I figured I would update some goals, make a few more. Next week is my 39th birthday and there are some goals I want to complete over the next year. Some are diet/fitness related, some are personal related.
* Go from Obese BMI to Overweight BMI- I am so close to this one and I keep yo-yoing with the same few pounds here lately. Time to get on it. I need to lose 5lbs to get here!! Hoping to reach this goal by the end of October.
*Stop Smoking- Goal accomplished. Now to maintain being smoke free! This quit so far has been the easiest of all the times I have tried. Maybe I was just "ready" and really wanted it this time as opposed to the 3 million other times I tried. But I must be ever aware of a craving or temptation and just say NO! I have come so far I don't want to start over. 12 days and counting!!
*Pay off a credit card- I am only $100 away from doing this! Aside from getting my life dietary and physically healthy, I also want to get my life financially healthy. For me that means getting all my family's credit card debt paid off and start adding more to savings.
*Run a Mile W/O Stopping- Big one for me. I used to run all the time in my early 20's. Just ticks me off that I can't now. But I am going to try. Really need to find another source of exercise besides hiking also since winter is coming and a lot of the areas I hike in will close during inclement weather and according to the acorns on the ground, it should snow butthole deep to a giraffe all winter. Hopefully not smoking will help me reach this goal too.
*Donate clothes that are too Big- Often times I hold on to clothes and before you know it I am right back in them. I need to get rid of that fall-back so I make sure that I maintain the weight that I have lost.
*Reach Goal Weight- 40lbs to go to reach this one. But I am hopeful.
*Maintain an Exercise Routine- I want exercise to become second nature to me and I actually would really like it if I learned to enjoy it.
*Pay Off All Credit Card Debt- I can't wait for the day that my family is debt-free and my credit card payments can actually go into my savings account instead.
*Remain Smoke Free- I know that it only takes one puff for me to go back to being a 2 pack a day smoker. I don't want to have to go through that again.
*Clean Out My Basement- Yes this is a long term goal because I know it is going to take forever lol. I seriously need to take a weekend and just get it done. My basement is a collect all for stuff that we don't use anymore and probably needs to be tossed. I also have a fortune in purses down there I need to do something with.
I would also like to start making small weekly goals again. I also really need to start rewarding myself for meeting a goal. I haven't been doing that. So I think I will sit and make me out of a list of things that I really, really want but wouldn't normally buy, also things that I like to buy (candles is probably my biggie) and save those up for a goal met special occasion. That way I can reward myself and save some money in the process by not buying up every candle I see because they were 50% off. Make candles a special occasion lol. I spend way too much money on buying frivolous things. Two birds, one stone?
