Last night we collected a static bike. I haven't used one in about 5 years, byt. as ever willing to give it a go. Laurie (my fiance) is the family ycclist, but winter is fast approaching and it just gets too wet around here for cycling to be a real exercise option. As for me, I have balance issues (hereditory), so a static bike is a better option. Sabina, my 12 year old, also has the same balance issues and likes the idea of cycling, but prefers the anonymity and safety of the living room and the ladscape of the TV.
So, today was the day! I decided to just do 10 minutes to break myself in gently, so that's what I did, followed by a 30 minute DVD workout from the 28 Day Bootcamp Challenge.
Now that I know I can do it, I've devised a gentle routine to ease myself into this cycling thing gradually. I'll also use my exercise DVDs but this will give me the variety I need and keep me interested.
I'm pleased that my weight loss efforts are paying off and hope to be in 'onederland' in January, although the end of December would be just great!
