This morning I needed to take a package to the UPS store that Bossdear had prepared for shipping the night before. Two years ago, I would have simply grabbed the package, jumped in the car, and driven the .8 miles to the UPS store. I would have done that without even thinking about it. It would simply not have occurred to me to get there and back any other way.
This time, realizing that the package was not that large or heavy, I could just carry it and walk to the UPS store. My next thought was, since I was going to be out already, I could work in a short run. So, instead of taking the car, I changed into my running gear, strapped on the Garmin, did a brisk walk with the package the .8 miles to the UPS store, and did a relatively easy 3.5 mile run while I was out.
And it seemed like a perfectly normal thing to do.
