Update on why I went to Adelaide. I went down there to have an Endoscopy. They did find a hiatia hernia? but I will find out the rest of the results in about 2 weeks when my local doctor gets the results. I do see the Surgeon again in 6 weeks.

A long way to go for only a 15 minute precedure, I was in hospital for a few hours. But this was a total of nearly 12 hours. Just over 3 hours to get there, got to the hospital at about 11.30am, found out where I had to go. Got taken in about 1pm but then waited until 2pm and got out about 4pm, then my Dad drove back home.

I really don't know how we used to do this many years ago because the trip was much longer sometime over 5 hours but then they built the new highway and we now bypass all the towns.

I think I am getting old as I get tired from a trip like this now.

One thing when they took my blood pressure, it was perfect 110/69, it has been this was for over 6 months now. So pleased with myself. My sugar was 5 points which again is perfect.

I have been having some very lovely time spent with my grandchildren. I have seen them everyday since they have been with us. Go back down to Adelaide on Monday to go the the Family Courts again. It is going to be interesting again.

I so understand about the long drive to the hospital - I am glad it is shorter now - but I understand about the tiresome~! Remember with CKD we get tired so much easier now.

I have a daughter with a Hiatial hernia, not fun! Follow your special needs diet and you should be OK.

Keep on keeping on!
I am so glad you are spending time with your grandbabes!
Best of luck at court.

Yes, a very long day for you. Being a Tasmanian, it's an awfully long way for me to contemplate.

News about hiatus hernia not so hotshot; but awesome blood pressure, etc. results.

Glad you are seeing the grandies now and all the very best for Monday. I'll be thinking of you, Jason, and grandies then, Wendy.

Good grief, that's a looooong day. Glad you got good numbers for bp and sugar. I'm sure that you will manage the hiatal hernia - you're already in the habit of managing your diet.

Good luck with court. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Agree w/I.M. -- I have reflux and eating 5-8 small meals/day really makes a difference! And hopefully with any other dietary changes the dr. suggested, you'll be feeling better.

Sending you peaceful vibes that Monday goes well for you. **SIGH** Sometimes life is so tough!

    Hi Wendy,

It is still a long day travelling to Adelaide and back, let alone going into hospital for a procedure...the time just adds up. It sounds like it was just as well you had the endoscopy and I hope the hernia can be managed easily enough.

Am keeping everything crossed for a good outcome for you, Jason and the grandkids on Monday. Hope it all goes well. So glad you are finally able to enjoy some time with them again! Have a good weekend.

Love and hugs, Nattacia

I have a hiatal hernia too... one of the reasons I eat six small meals a day, since then I don't experience any of the common symptoms. In fact, I rarely even notice it--which suits me just fine! LOL

I'm glad things went well...

... and I'm especially glad that you've had a chance to play catch-up with your grandchildren. I know how much you missed them...

I'll send a little positive energy your way for that court appearance...
