I don't really want to lose weight

This morning I was chatting to my friend about my results, and she brought up such a poignant reminder of our language. She said "Don't lose weight. Release it. Lost weight wants to be found again"..
And it struck a chord because, in my experience, weight loss, while awesome, can be emotional. It takes us back to the past sometimes, where we started the emotional eating. It's like when we put on an old sentimental outfit, and it transports us to when last we wore it - except that our body is an outfit we are always wearing.
I had a particularly low motivation week last week, and am so proud and grateful to my support group (Sleek Geek SA) for pulling me back on the wagon.
What did I learn from this? It's important to keep being accountable, to acknowledge the emotions and the mess-ups, and focus on the goal.
