October Goals

I see so many SparkFriends posting their goals for the month, and I realize I have been slacking in that regard for quite some time. I've also noticed a definite reduction in my motivation, so I'm hoping setting some concrete goals will give me something to keep me going. Here goes...

1 - Drink 10 cups of water a day.

I feel best when I hit this level, and I have been missing it, sometimes not even reaching 8 cups. I hit 10 cups yesterday and feel awesome today, so time for consistency!

2 - Get running!

I want to do the Ghiradelli Hot Chocolate 15k in Chicago on November 4. I haven't been running since the Tough Mudder on September 8. Time to get back to it so I can cross that finish line. The goal is to get three runs in a week: speed work, hill work, and endurance work.

3 - Be June Cleaver!

Well, not really. But I noticed that when my house gets cluttered, I get stressed. I don't have a lot of time, but I want to take 10 minutes each day and straighten up my home. It might not be perfect, but at least it won't be oppressive.

4 - Log that food

I've gone back to, yikes, I shouldn't have eaten that, so I won't log it. Um, yeah. Not such a good idea. LOG IT ALL!

5 - Stay focused at work

Work is busy. I get distracted easily. It's 2:00 pm and I'm blogging on Spark instead of typing up meeting minutes. Oops. Gotta go!

    Awesome goals!! And I LOL'd at #5. One, because it was just funny and two, because I should be working and am on Spark, too. :) You and I seem to have much in common. ;)

    It always helps me to stay accountable when I write my goals down plus making them public is more like a vow!! Keep up the great work!!!

    Me too! I have also been low on motivation but I am pushing myself to just do it & get out of this slump. So keep pushing & soon it will become habit forming...
