Bummed when I stepped on the scale, but then realized it was not sooo bad....

I went to bed hungry and woke up hungry and did really good yesterday. I tracked what I ate. I looked up the menu at the restaurant ahead of time and decided on 3 good options. Then actually ordered one of them. I started to focus on drinking water. So, I was really excited to weigh myself. But I was sooo bummed when I only went down 2/10 of a pound. Ugh. But then I realized that a calorie is 3500 calories. 2/10 of that is 700 calories. AND, it had not been two days (I am trying to keep myself to every other day) but only 1. So, in one day I had eaten 700 calories less than my body wanted. So, that is actually pretty good. Yeah me.

I also decided to take a picture yesterday and post it as a sort of "before" picture so hopefully, as I lose, I can really track the changes my body is going through. Didn't have the nerve to do it with skin showing though (sports bra and shorts). Maybe one day......

    You are moving in the right direction and that is what counts. When I first started tracking my food I could not believe what a serving size was. Now that I have been doing it for a while I am very satisfied with just one serving and the weight is coming off slowly and hopefully for good. Keep up the good work and you won't be hungry for long and your pounds will melt away before you knowit.
