I had breakfast at McDonald's for only 200 calories - Really ! My husband and I took our new kitty Zeppelin to be neutered at the Vet. After we dropped him off, we walked to McDonald's for a breakfast date. I ordered an egg on an English muffin - no sausage, cheese, or butter - just a plain egg and the muffin. It was a little dry but it filled me up and was quite tasty. I checked my food tracker for one egg and a muffin and it was only 200 calories. I had black coffee. You can have a healthy breakfast at McDonald's if you know what to order. I considered the oatmeal but I make that at home almost everyday so I did want to have that on a "date". An egg has a lot of good protein and according to the "egg quiz" the cholesterol in the yolk doesn't raise your blood cholesterol. It's the trans fats and the saturated fats that are the culprit. Protein in the morning is great - keeps you going till lunch. And I got some walking in - about a mile. Now I'm worried about our little kitty having surgery but I'm sure he'll be fine. And I'm doing good on my diet.
