Nighttime Snacking!

I did so good the first few days, my calorie intake is just a little over the limit, but I am trying hard! What gets me is the late night snacks before bed! When my son is playing and watching TV I tend to grab a handful of nuts or chocolate! I can't seem to stop it. My calorie intake was great today but then comes boredom.......I am reading weightloss stories and just grab a snack from the table next to me.....How Sad! My husband has been working alot and I have no one to talk to, so I turn to snacking....It's easy during the daytime because I take my son to the park or go for a walk somewhere. Once nightime comes we are home and I keep myself busy for so long but there comes the sweet cravings........I WILL OVERCOME THIS SOON ENOUGH! I am NOT GIVING UP!

    I drink a cup of tea each evening. It's become my ritual (replacing the quart of ice cream with chocolate sauce I used to consume each night!), and I look forward to that personal, "me-time" cup of tea all day long.

It wasn't easy to change from eating junk at night--I stepped away gradually--but it has been so very worth it. I promise you, once you switch to better habits at this time of day, you'll be so proud of yourself you'll never want to go back. Just hang in there, find something you personally love and go for it!

    I crave sweets at night too, and although my cravings are getting fewer, I still have them. People often suggested that I eat a piece of fruit, but that didn't work for me. So, I usually save a few calories for my "dessert." I love sugar-free fudgesicles, 2 pops are 80 calories. You can also try sugar-free hard candies, usually 4 or 5 pieces are about 50 calories. Hang in there, it will get better. emoticon emoticon

    emoticon I usually save some calories for when I feel the need for evening snack. It helps.
