While I might have not lost any weight this year... I have been able to maintain my weight by eating what I want! I mean that 100%. I had to let go of almost all of the rules I set for myself in the past to stop my binging behaviors and I have to say, the freedom has been 100% worth it. I get what she says- I 100% get it!
I'm glad it speaks to you-- I call it loosing weight from the inside out, because the change has to come from within.

I firmly believe that only when we end the war with food--AND with our own bodies as they are *right now*--will we truly be successful at losing weight and keeping it off for good. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for the link... Since we are supposed to be creating a LIFESTYLE, we have to take the ebs and flows and figure out a way to walk that we can live with for the long haul.
I find that so much of the "battle" is won or lost in my head! Definitely a process I'm working on!

Best to you in your journey towards health and fitness!

One of the ways I have tried to bring this message home for myself is by asking myself: would I talk to someone I love (like my daughter or sister) the way I talk to myself about food? I would never tell my loved ones that "you are such a pig" or "you have no self-control" So I have tried to learn not to give myself that message either - I deserve kindness and compassion just as much as the women I love.
