Well this week is so far, so good and I will get into that and my October goals in my next blog. But I want to ask you guys for some prayers. I would never ask for any for me, but I will ask for someone else.
If we are friends outside of SP, either it's via text, Facebook, Instagram, email, then you would know I had a GodDaughter born on September 27th. At 8:33am my babygirl Leilani was born to one of my bestfriends in Florida. I have known my bestie for 15yrs and love her to death. She didn't have an easy pregnancy and without going into too much detail was sent to the hospital the beginning of September and was there for 4 weeks so they can monitor the baby. They told her there was a good chance Leilani wasn't going to make it. She was the highest risk on the maternity ward. But we kept the faith and prayed.
Leilani came early. She wasn't due until December so that meant no more November babyshower. Leilani was having a lot of complications and was not gaining weight. So after an emergency C-Section at 30 weeks she was brought into this world at 2lbs 5oz (small I know!) But she is a lot smaller than your average 30 week baby and everything is not developed. So she had to continue to fight.
Sadly that is just the beginning. Because she is still fighting. Even though she is breathing on her own, she has lost some weight the last few days and is down 3 ounces. That's a lot of weight when your under 3 pounds. And without going into major detail I am asking for any extra prayers. Prayers from the heart. Because to me prayers only mean something if they come from the heart.
I love her and my bestie too. And it kills me to know that she is still struggling. It kills me to know that all my bestie can do is be there and try not to cry herself to sleep every single night.
Any extra prayers or thoughts to my goddaughter Leilani is welcomed. I just want her to continue to fight.
