Making Choices Today
Wednesday, October 03, 2012
Each day we are faced with myriad of choices. God has given us the free will to choose. Here are the choices I am choosing to make today:
I can choose to be pitiful or powerful but I can not choose both. This day I choose to be powerful not because of who I am but because of WHO lives in me.
I choose this day to not let others negativity bring me down. What the enemy meant for harm, God means for good. I choose to meditate on what God says and not allow myself to focus on the negativity that people say or that the enemy says. I choose God's Word.
I may have been hurt and confused. Confusion is not of God. I am choosing to let the confusion and hurt go and to let God because my God is in control. I am not in control. I am not my own. I have been bought with a price and I belong to God. I am not ashamed of the Name above all Names, Jesus! Someone once said that " if God is your co-pilot, you better change seats"!
I choose this day Whom I will serve : "As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD!!!!!!" It may not seem like that is what is occurring but I am choosing this day to walk by faith and NOT by sight!
I choose this day to forgive. All I have to do is think about what Christ did on my behalf on Calvary and my mind and heart is set to forgive. Look at how many times He has forgiven me. How can I not forgive others in light of this fact? I choose to forgive.
We can either be victims or victors. I choose this day to be a victor and not a victim because the Victorious One lives in me!!
I choose not my will but His be done this day and each day by His mercy and grace.
I start by writing, believing, and doing these things this day with God's help and God's grace.
Now it's YOUR turn. Name at least one thing you choose to do this day.
May our God Who is faithful to perform what He has said, help us to perform what we say for His honor and for His glory!!!! Amen!
Blessings to you, Christine
