Back to Tracking

I don't blog much - I just don't have the time. But I thought I'd write this one down so I remember in the future.

I've tried taken some days/weeks off from tracking to see what would happen. It also coincided with some trips, birthdays, etc., I'm noticing that I do "cheat" more when I don't track, and my weight is showing it. While I could chalk my weight gain this week up, in part, to salty Asian food yesterday, I know those extra slives of cake and scoops of ice cream - and the evil dark chocolate peanut butter - are certainly also part of the gain. Tracking helps keep me "honest" about what I'm eating and when I do indulge - and I do frequently - to plan for it and do so in moderation.

I'm also starting my running log today. I've been running for a while, but I'm now following the ChiRunning method - or at least giving it a try. Part of that involves a journal,. I haven't decided yet whether I'll use an app or paper or a spreadsheet on google docs. But I'll get it going today.
