Since the calorie and other ranges are partially based on our estimate of calories we are burning it is pretty important that we get that number fairly accurate. Over my first 10 weeks I have increased my workouts and thus the carlorie burned. Starting Kettlebells 5 weeks ago really increased it, but because the class is a lot of stretching other conditioning exercises and not straight Kettlebells I was not sure what the calories burn was. To add on to that the hockey season started last weekend and I did not know what kind of calorie burn was there. So until this week I erred on the conservative side in my estimated calorie burn figuring it was safer to under eat than over eat.

I finally got my heart rate monitor working over the weekend and I can be pretty accurate on my calorie burn. After entering the new calorie burn I now am supposed to eat more daily. This is so counter inuitive to my life long belief that less is better it is taking a great leap in faith for me to start eating more to lose weight. But, I am doing it. As I say often, in for penny in for a pound.

    I am glad you got it all figured out. I know you will see success soon. I had trouble accepting that I needed to eat to lose weight too. I still don't know if I got it right or not. I am impressed that you are taking steps in the direction. I wish you the best of luck. I just got back into the swing of my exercising classes. I still have the chest cold trying to hold on to me. I don't think I will give it to the others in the class. So, I started back with the classes. I am really getting sore. I got to work through all the soreness AGAIN ! I feel so much better mental the soreness is worth it. Hope you have happiness and good health for the rest of the week. I will check in on you this week-end. (HUGS)

    HR Monitors are awesome, you're lucky to have one that works :) Mine stopped working over the summer (I tried replacing the battery myself and I think I put it back together wrong- it was NOT meant to be taken apart!). Try to trust the eating more- you don't want to see your metabolism slowing down :)
