Tis the season to be busy!

It's been way too long since I've blogged. This is the time of year when I get crazy busy. I do all of the graphics, web updates and coordinate communications for our annual charitable campaign at work. I run our best boss program and near Boss's day we bring the five honorees for a joint function, which means the President and other execs will be there. I do everything for that which means script writing, slides, invites, calendar coordinating, catering, decorations, writing and designing the program, etc... I do basically the same thing for outstanding employee award-- monthly event for each honoree and then a big annual event for all 12 of the honorees. Plus my wreath auction and employee choir activities take up a bunch of time. We're already rehearsing. I love the choir but some of the songs we sing make me very emotional so this year will be especially hard. It will be my kids' first holidays without their Dad.
I've also decided it's time to move into a new house. That's another reason why I've been so quiet lately. I found the perfect location and builder- just haven't chosen a floorplan because there are so many that I like. The price my house sells for will also be a factor. Interest rates are super low and the market is starting to pick up. I'm just really happy there's some floorplans that I love in really great location. It's only two miles away from my current home so Denise will easily be able to drive to school and we'll still shop at the same stores. This is important because Denise is having a hard time adjusting to leaving this home. Change in general is hard for her. She does understand that this house is way too big for us and too expensive with the pool. I've spent over $1,000 in the past few weeks. Needed a new filter and the pool cleaner needed some new parts, plus needed chemicals and a new brush. Ugh!
Anyway.. things are starting to wind down with my boytoy. His contract is ending so they are rushing to finish the work and he's spending more time in London. I didn't see him for almost three weeks this time. I'm too busy with my work and home projects so I won't be seeking out a replacement anytime soon. The timing is perfect. I got to have a fabulous summer fling and now that I'm busy I'll be free. This time of year is when the girls and I go to the Renaissance Fair too, plus add holiday events and I'll be as busy as ever.
I took the day off to go to the courthouse to start the probate process. Need to do this so I can sell the house. It's time. I'm ready and excited for the change. Wish me luck!
