uhoh weigh in not so good

Tuesday, October 02, 2012

today i had my weigh in with the dietician which i have been doing since july of 2010 and for the first time in a very long time(since close to the beginning) my numbers went up. now i can be honest with myself and say i was making bad food choices (too many sweets)(not enough food logging) not exercising (got too cold to use my pool) (didn't feel like going downstairs to do the home gym) and no yard work due to the last bout of poison sumac, took a well earned 4 day vacation. so i know not to beat myself up, just time to pick myself up, dust myself off and get back on track

went back to the salvation army Kroc center gym and pool to do some more laps today but lap lanes were busy so i walked against the current in the lazy river section for 30 min.

Just do SOMETHING! At least you'll feel better even if your progress can't yet be measured by an analog device.

That's the spirit. Put it behind you and get back to it.

Good for you, Sweets! I'm glad there is a pool not too far away. The days have turned chilly in upstate NYS and I was shivering in my apt. until I decided to just get busy. Now he (the landlord) has turned the heat on - hooray! I walked a little bit outside but have to do something with more intensity as I am giving in to comfort food too - grrr! - Diane

Deep breath. We're in process, not always a linear trajectory. Great attitude about moving forward. ID challenge: you did. You know how to work past it, and the exercise is already in place. I love the idea of the walking current: challenges your entire body while protecting your joints with water's buoyancy.

If this is the FIRST time in a long time that you have gained weight at a weigh-in, then you aught to be very proud of yourself. You know WHY you gained, so now you can get on with losing again!
