The Girl Scouts had their Beach Clean Up on Saturday. Of course, it was more like beach-pick-up-a-few-things-the
n-go-to-Burger-King-day but it was fun. The girls did not complain (well, one did, but it was really hot), everyone had gloves and water bottles, picked up a bit of trash (almost a kitchen garbage bag full of stuff in an hour's time), and went off to BK. The original idea was a treat of ice cream cones, but one of the moms ended up buying everyone burgers and nuggets so they'd have something on their stomachs before the dairy. Everyone got crowns, some ice water, and full bellies.
Sunday was grocery shopping, cleaning, laundry day. Not much going on.
Monday was the interview. I am (yes, still) so nervous. I hope that is because I'm getting the job, but I won't know until Friday or Monday. It's a call center job, answering phones then directing them to the correct department in the Family Practice or Pediatrics office, but it's a job. And, if I get my foot in the door, I can always try for a medical assistant job if one opens in the practice. The benefits are good, insurance and paid time off. Plus, you are eligible for 401-K after six months. Fingers crossed, the office is really big and very close to my house. Knocks off like 30 minutes off my drive, plus I won't have to cross that bridge every morning and afternoon during rush hour!
So, we'll see what happens. I have other things on my mind today, like the grocery shopping trip with the Girl Scouts tonight. Shopping for supplies for our camp out this weekend! So excited!
