My weigh-in today was an encouraging 174+ pounds. Still ten pounds higher than my recent lowest, but I may have broken free of a five week stagnancy. I did my LiveFit Revolution Quarterly Virtual 10K Saturday and mashed too hard on the downhills. Boy were my legs sore. I ran the same course today at a reasonable lope and I think that helped with my recovery. That course is an out-and-back with a 650' elevation gain over mile three but you can make some awesome time on mile four.
Three weeks 'til touchdown in Rio de Janeiro. Between now and then I'm in four more races: a 5K this Saturday, a 10K on Saturday the 13th, a cross-country 5K on Sunday the 14th, and a half marathon on Sunday the 21st. I'll be running about 35 miles a week up to the half marathon, then take a break.
