Pumpkin carving ... earlier than Hallowe'en Night this time
It's JJ's favorite time ... have a costume party this year?
Cool-weather trail walks ... no mosquitos!
Picking apples from our ginormous apple tree
Canning apple butter, apple jelly, and applesauce
Going to the spa for hot-room infusions of warmth
I'm trying hard, here, friends. See, October is not my favorite month by any means. To me it heralds the long, dark winter, the cold, the clouds, and the rain. We had a fantastic summer this year, when it finally got started, zero complaints about that! In fact it's still gorgeous, even today, October 1st. But every Fall is the start of a struggle for me to remain in a good frame of mind and see the upside. So this year I'm going to try (with some help) to make a positive difference for myself and my family.
And *you* can help me! Tell me in the comments what you love about this season. I'm going to try hard to listen to my Fall- and Winter-loving friends this year, to let go of my Spring- and Summer-favoring mind and enjoy what is, as much as I can.
Or, if you are like me, not a natural lover of this season, tell me ways you cope! Believe me, I can use all the help I can get.
