I've been up doing homework for the past 2 hours, so I might as well go to the gym! Today will be exhausting.
Yesterday was a beautiful day, and I already regret not going out on my bike! :( I got groceries, took kids places, made it to church, and met up with a classmate to work on a project. But I'm hitting the gym this morning, because none of that stuff got my heart rate up. I ate pretty decent yesterday and got green vegetables twice yesterday! I've been doing a good job at finding fresh salad greens on clearance and then having them for lunches and dinners. I'm not crazy about taking a salad with me to school, it's such a pain. Sandwiches are easier. But I'm doing my best to keep things changing all the time so I get a variety of foods.
I'm still having trouble staying away from sweets; even when I eat well, I end up having an ice cream sandwich too! Worst time is bedtime when my kids are having their snack, I feel like I'm entitled to a snack too. When did it become such a routine for kids to have a bedtime snack? When I was a kid, we didn't have bedtime snacks. My kids think it's a punishment if they don't get one, even the big kids. I think it will be easier when they are grown and I don't have to do the bedtime-snack routine anymore. Except that's several years away yet. *sigh*
Well, the clock just chimed 5am, so it's time for me to get my swimsuit on and head to the gym. I think I will do weights and swimming, and tomorrow, rowing. I'm trying to stay off my foot and wear the boot more, because the pain has been out of control lately. :(
