List all the reasons you want to lose weight.
I want to lose weight for the obvious, "generic" if you will reasons of looking better in my clothes & being able to buy smaller sizes like most people do. The more meaningful reasons include avoiding some of the same health pitfalls that befell my family members both past and currently. Things like arthritis in my neck and most likely my low back scare me as I've seen the devestation it caused my dad before he passed and is causing my mom now. Things like heart related issues on both sides of my family. Thankfully I can believe that at least some of those things are/were lifestyle influenced but one never knows how much really is inherited so I must do whatever I can to avoid them in me because another reason for losing my weight is more energy, agility and flexibility to keep up with our young son who I hate to dissapoint. And of course, for my DH who while he loves me as I am, wouldn't mind me looking more like what he knows I am capable of. And the very most important reason for my losing weight is to honor God by taking care of the temple He has entrusted me with so I can serve Him to the best of my ability.
What do you want to change?
I want to change my bad habits of not enough sleep consistently, not enough H2O consistently, caving to my cravings and making excuses of why I didn't do it today but I will tomorrow. No more procrastination, lack of focus or lack of determination. I am worth it and I CAN DO IT!!
How do you want to look?
I want to look fit, trim and healthy. Not skinny, but thin. Not "shred" but able to show some definition and that I am toned.
How do you want to feel?
I want to feel GOOD!! Happy inside and out because I'm taking good care of myself by making the right choices, showing our DS that eating right and exercising are not just good for you, but FUN to do and how good you feel when you do them. I've been there before and lost my focus but I'm sensing now is the time that I can regain that focus and make the changes I've been "meaning to".
What things will you be able to do in the future with a slimmer healthier body?
I will be able to walk and/or jog in more trail runs, keep up with our energetic son and anything else the Lord needs/wants me to do.
I think that about covers it for now and the next 8 weeks. Thanks for reading!
