My Favorite Way to Burn Calories

My husband and I recently returned from the beach where we were blessed with glorious weather - low humidity, highs in the upper 70's/low 80's. We spent 2 full days doing one of my favorite things: sailing.

My original title for this blog was going to be "The Best Way to NOT Burn Calories." Then I entered this activity and was thrilled at the calorie-burn estimated! I was equally thrilled when I weighed this morning, fully expecting to have gained weight from vacation. I had maintained - so I guess sailing does use some calories. That makes me VERY happy!
Thinking I was packing on the pounds, I did a morning of cycling (15 miles) and a morning of wogging (3.3 miles) to aid the effort, as well as a strength workout one evening.
Now, I MUST return to sensible eating (no more ice cream, cookies, or cake!) in order to meet the 12 by 12/12/12 challenge. I have 10 pounds to lose - doable with dedication.
I plan to return to the beach for a week in November. If the weather permits, I will sail some more. However, I WILL avoid those no-no's. That's a promise!
