I am still rather stuck. I'm not tracking completely but I did work exercise into my busy schedule and am now regularly using the facilities (not just the treadmill) at the gym. I am also going to the fitness classes which really push me. I of course am the largest in them but have gotten past the shy stage. In Zumba I really didn't want to be at the front and no one was going up front so I did. Well at least they can look at the big girl at the front who is not doing it well but is trying. Being up front did make me work harder too so that was an added bonus.
I am really overwhelmed this semester by my course load. I thought that since Lavinia was with her Dad this year, I should have no problem with the extra course and working. Wow. I was wrong and I am usually freaking out which just makes the issue worse. Who can study and learn and think when they are out of their mind? This year my courses all do reflections and I find that we have to think a lot harder about ourselves and what we are learning. I would use it in my classroom because of this or I would not just doesn't cut it. Last year I seemed to be overwhelmed by the reading but this year I am overwhelmed by the thinking and personal examination. I know this is really needed dietwise since I find myself turning to junk food for comfort this year more so than any time for years. I find I don't have time for it but I know I need to make time. I also find it great to go to the gym or fitness class and not have to think for a while. That is the absolute best. The problem is that it still involves thinking at the beginning. When I went to see Tracey to give me a personal workout she said that I just have to sit down every week and schedule my fitness classes. I go 3 times a week and do my routine for 6 weeks and then I will meet with her again for progress check and another routine. I go to fitness classes when I can fit them in but prioritise the gym workout since they are more flexible. So far it is working. I found especially since Thanksgiving is coming up there were weeks that it was hard to get a workout in and I wouldn't do three if I didn't plan ahead.
Now to do better at tracking water and food.
