BPJ : Day 2

I was stiff and miserable this morning. I tried a smaller towel, and woke with a back pain level of around 5. I still got up and went for a run.

I ran 2.33 miles in 32 minutes. I am rusty and out of shape. But I ran. I will be running with "real runners" next weekend at the Color Run, but it's OK. I am going to do my best and have fun!

Today we ran around and took photos of the kids at a local park. It is an annual tradition. We take similar poses every year. I now have 3 sets of these photos. I don't know how to do side by side comparisons, but some day I will pull them together and post them on my custodial auntie blog.

We purchased some items for Halloween Costumes. The boning for my corset was a little more expensive than I hoped, but was what I needed to finish my costume. Now I am back to working on it.

The girls brother is staying all night with us tonight, and the girls are happy to have him here. It's a little hectic because he is a challenging child, but he has a huge heart and loves his sisters so much. It does them good to be together now and then.

    I tried the towel under the back but took it out after about 4 hours. That is a cute idea taking the pictures every year. Then you can really see how they've grown! Way to go on the running!!

    I hope you get some solution with your back pain. I know it is hard but hope you get some solution with it. and good luck with your current goal. It is nice that you have kept your exercises continue. I hope that also help you with your back pain

    Have you tried putting the towel or a pillow between your knees (for a side sleeper) or under your knees (for a back sleeper) instead of in the small of your back? It is supposed to help align your hips and spine which is supposed to help relieve back pain. It has helped me in the past. Three v other thing that may help (if you also have neck and/or upper back pain is to angle your pillow so it is supporting more of your neck (for side sleepers). So instead of the pillow being straight against the wall or headboard it is at more of a 45 degree angle.
