I always love the evenings when we can take a longer nature hike with the dogs, especially in the fall. Everything smells amazing!!! The leaves are all crunchy in the woods so you can hear when something's moving and have a better chance of spotting it. It's cool so you're not sweating your butt off while you're doing it. The colors are amazing with the contrasts of fields that are still green and then the purple, red, orange, green and yellow leaves. The sky always seems bluer in the fall, too, full of ice crystals that haven't made it down to us quite yet. The clouds in contrast are that much whiter against the deep blue. Aaaahhhhh... All of those things combine to take all of the stresses of any day or week away. It brings me back to what's important; me, my health, my boyfriend and my dogs. Just living. Work is a means to get by. Someday I may have a job that I love again, but not for now. But it doesn't own me. The woods? I'd rather be owned by them :)
Have a great day!
