We arrived home safely and unpacked and I was on the spare bed by 1.30 pm, with a mink blanket over me and the electric blanket on under me! I was so cold. The weather here is much colder than it has been in Sydney.

DH had the AFL grand final on the TV and I couldn't stand the noise, hence the spare room. I surfaced just before 4.pm. I obviously needed the sleep!

Which brings me to what I need to do as of right now. Look after me!

I am currently in the obese range of BMI. I need to be at least in the overweight range. The sleep specialist told me this, plus pointed out that alcohol was a contributing factor to sleep apnea. These two things are achievable and that is what I need to do.

Hence, the sleep today as I was so very tired after my week in Sydney. I think that if I hadn't had the sleep I would have gone looking for food, or worse, opened a bottle of wine!

No wine,cane a healthy dinner....well as healthy as I could manage without doing a huge shop. I bought a jar of lite honey mustard chicken tonight and cooked some chicken thighs ( on special), cooked brown rice and some frozen broccoli, cauliflower and baby peas. I also have made a chicken thigh soup with lots of veggies and chick peas for over the weekend for lunches.

I looked at my pedometer, not good, under 3,000 steps, but travelling over 4 hours and sleeping, doesn't lend itself to steps. Tomorrow needs to be 10,000 or more. I did it in Thailand quite a lot of times, so I can do it again.

Tracking my food, water and exercise need to be a priority, and looking after me also. I am 63 and not as young as I used to be, and if I am tired, I need to have a rest! Tracking must be a priority and a necessity!

The results of the overnight stay in hospital for the sleep test will be interesting. If I have sleep apnea, that could be why I am so tired. I need to be patient and wait for the test and the results. I think the doctor said I need to be 89 kgs to be in the overweight range. So I am aiming for that by 16 November when I see the sleep specialist for the results of my test which I will have had on 12 October! 7 weeks to lose approx 9 kgs....I think that is achievable. I will do my hardest to achieve this. I was 98.4 kgs on 18 September and will weigh myself on Monday!

Putting it down here on my blog will make me accountable. I have been messing around for far too long!

So off to sleep soon, tomorrow is another day....Monday is when I pick Max up from the kennels. Back to church in the morning to play the piano at the service...been a while...

    Welcome back. Travel is fun but it can be so exhausting. Hope you are part of the living again. Your goals sound great, I know you can do it!
