Well, very emotional day at the course today... Offered one lady a drive home so we could talk. Bought fresh fruit and veggies today...yeah... grapes only 99 cents per lb.... and watermelon and a mango... YUM. And mom bought beautiful corn on the cob, so that with tomatoes, cucumbers and shrimp for supper, with a belgian chocolate tart..

First week of course is over, on to the hard work next week, this was the pre-course... should really get to bed, almost midnite and I really have had a long week... went out to a card party and tea at the 82 y.o.'s last nite, all home made, tea biscuits, raisin tea biscuits, gooseberry jam, rhubarb pineapple jam, ginger cookies, raspberry tarts, and oatmeal cookies....Wow, what a feast...

I'm very tired... even too tired to wash a bannister tonite.. But, I had a great catch-up phone call with my old friend here but she was away a week and is going on vacation for another week, so it will be mid-Oct. before , we get a chance to get together...

good nite all... have a great weekend... we're going apple picking at the orchard on Sunday and I may go down to the potato field they dug yesterday, and do some "gleaning"...
