Food Friday, Shirt Story, Lohts Ov Fotohs.

This is me in those smaller jeans I wore in August, with an XL shirt now. It's a little snug, but not too snug to not wear out, my grandparents saw my progress after wearing this shirt, especially since my grandmother never saw the shirt before.

The beige jeans were tight at one point.

This is my eggplant parmesan. Notice the mushroom on the napkin? I don't like mushroom texture so I removed it from the sauce.

I'd post the beet but I didn't like the beet, therefore don't want to waste the time uploading the beet. I like using the beet as a noun though.

Tonight's Swordfish Dinner with grilled potatoes and onions, with Green beans, corn and garlic bread. If you haven't had it (swordfish), then have it :-P

Today I took my grandmother grocery shopping again ($280 split between three stores(!)), and I may be trying a Butternut squash tomorrow for dinner. I got a few Bosc Pears even though I believe they're a winter fruit, an orange which I had today, and some other fruits to have during the week. As well as some vegetables (my grandmother is loving this new trying vegetables kick I'm in right now :-P)
I also tried the Fiber One Cookie Brownie, and I'll try the Fiber One Brownie tomorrow. I forgot how sweet traditional chocolate was, so each chocolate chip bite was a little bit of heaven. In addition to the fiber ones, I also got regular captain crunch cereal (yeah yeah, the sugar), I kinda feel like a 5-10 year old today... and it didn't help when I got a lunchables as well (it was on sale), I ate it cold like old times, but I think it would be better warmed in the microwave.

My rainbow fruit/vegetable list today is as follows:
Red: Apple
Green: Green Beans, Celery (maybe half a serving?)
White: Onion, Potato
Yellow/Orange: Corn, Orange, Carrot (maybe half a serving if that)
Blue/Purple: Grapes

Tomorrow it should be at least as follows:
Red: Apple
Green: Parsley (taboule)
Purple: Grapes
White: Pear
Yellow: Butternut Squash

Tomorrow I think I'm going to run, I miss it, I miss it, I miss it, I miss it (throwback!). I'm wondering if my left foot gets sore from driving in the car? I noticed that today. I tried stretching my leg out in the car while my right foot was working the gas/break pedals, usually I cramp it up close to the seat, but I found a spot near the pedals that looks to be a foot rest. (is any of this description making sense?) My foot can relax instead of being cramped while driving now. I can't seem to stop sitting while on my tip toes or rolling my foot and having the side of my feet on the ground. Anyway, I can't wait to see my running speed and I hope I'll feel okay going back to it. I also hope it'll help the scale go down a little further this week!

    Sorry to hear your foot is acting up! The surprising thing is sometimes injuries are from what we would least expect. For example a couple years ago my wrist was injured. I thought it was from work but it turns out that I was actually sleeping on it in a strange way. Once I changed that, it got better.

Woohoo on the smaller clothes! Doesn't it feel so good?

The eggplant parm looks delicious, and that swordfish dinner looks amazing!! Good for you! I've been enjoying the red pears from the market. Pears are an autumn fruit, so enjoy them while you can!
On the clothes!! That is fabulous!! Soon you'll have to get a whole new wardrobe!

    I have the same problem with my left foot while driving! I usually roll it over at the ankle but since I noticed that I was doing that, I take turns between having it rolled, pulled up at the knee and sitting flat on the floorboard, and up on that little footrest thingy.

Your new pic looks great and love the difference in the pants pic too!

    butternut squash is so delicious. it also makes the bestest , most comforting and most invigorating (at the same time) soup! i can find you my recipe if you are interested!

its really good for freezing and works as a good base for a curry too.

congrats on the progress too! it's amazing to see hard work pay off so visually. you must feel great :D

    Great job trying all the new produce! I can't believe you didn't like the beets, though! Lame. Okay, I guess more people probably don't like them than do, but still.

Is that a Nintendo 64 I see on your dresser? That's some pretty sweet technology. I have a Super Nintendo that I still play every once in awhile.

That's awesome about the pants! I tried doing that with mine, but going down one size isn't spectacular enough to take pictures of.

Eggplant parm looks yummy! I went to make some for lunch today only to find that my eggplant was all yuck. :(

Fiber One brownies are pretty good, but I am obsessed with the Chocolate and Oat Fiber One bars.... OMGoodness! Heavenly!

And last but not least, I'm glad to hear your foot can relax and that you are about to start running again! And even though I haven't been doing it for long, I can see why you would miss it. It is quite therapeutic!

Oh, and BTW, no defending my hubby! I don't care if jogging slowly was excruciatingly painful for him, he was still 100% wrong, and I am 100% right. Like ALWAYS! ;)

    Haha...i could so hear you saying 'i miss it' over and over....and yeah, that thing is a footrest to encourage people to drive with just one's one of the few things I remember from driving school. Oh, and....i noticed the other day that you have lost 30 lbs....congrats!!!!!!!!!
