I feel like I am making progress -- not sure if the scale will agree on Saturday (hope so though). But I'm tracking what I eat, making healthier food choices, increasing my daily activity, drinking lots of water and feeling healthy! It's a good feeling.
Last night I was SO tempted to eat this box of low-fat vanilla wafers that I bought to garnish my sugar free pudding treats -- but somehow I managed to get through it, coaxing myself to think about how I would feel afterwards if I did over indulge (guilty), and then how much harder I would have to workout today (and possibly the rest of the week) to undo a calorie overload. So -- I just put the box away, and ta-dah -- felt great this morning when I got up and went hiking.
Even better yet -- tonight at my ballroom dancing class, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and thought -- hey, I think my silhouette is looking a little better. Plus it helped that some of the other students complemented me on my dancing (I'm new to this studio, but had danced off and on for quite awhile) -- so it's always great to get complements on anything you are doing well, and to be encouraged to keep up the good work!
Hike & eat healthy within my calorie range
Sounds like a good plan to me!
Two more days until my 'ME-day', and that also means two more days until the end of my two week 'Fast Break'. I bought the SparkPeople book, and was going to save starting to read it until after finishing my 30 day challenge, but I think I'll get started on it tonight, having just finished up my current read (Maine -- interesting book).
17 more days to go! almost at the half-way mark!
