Diary Of A Fluffy Chik... Day Whatever... Yeah It is Fall!!!!!

Finally the last few days here in NC seem like Fall... This is my favorite time of the year, I just feel so Blessed! My Hubby and I will celebrate a wedding anniversary the end of October, and my Son will be 16 in November, and when I think back, to past Autumns I remember my wedding planning, and then the next fall being VERY pregnant with my Son, and it just gives those good feelings... I also love the colors and smells of Fall, and I LOVE Thanksgiving, so this is wonderful!

I did have a huge scare this week, you know the kind where your heart skips a beat... I was leaving our kitchen and came around the corner into the living room, and I looked up at our front bay window, and froze, someone was up close to the window looking in!!!!! I about peed my pants!! After a second I realized that it was my Scarecrow leaned up in the corner of the window on the front porch!!!!! With our window sheers, I could only see the outline!!! OH MY!!!! Now that you are all done laughing at me, I have to say, the same thing happened to my son later in the day!! LOL!! Oh did I feel stupid though....

We have been busy getting involved in our new church, and loving every minute of it, and my hubby and I have decided to step out in faith, and start a Life Group for Blended Families. We have been a blended family for 17 years, and have had to deal with so many things, that if it had not been for our love for God, and our Faith in him, we would still not be together.... So we feel we could be a blessing for others dealing with the same kind of situation... Our first meeting will be tomorrow night, and I am nervous and excited all the same time, so keep us in your prayers....

As for eating.... Through the day, I actually do really well, and then night so so.. I am cooking for my boys, and I try to make things that they like, but I am trying to make them as healthy as I can. I am 32 days soda free, and artificial sweetner free, and I feel so good about that, and my craving for soda is gone. I drink either water or unsweet decaf iced tea, or coffee without any sweetner at all.... I did it!!! So as of Oct 1st, there will be NO fried food. My goal is 28 days, and then it will be out of my system as well.... I do better by just cutting things out little by little, and "detoxing" and it is really amazing, when you do that how your craving for it goes away. So pray for me, I live in the South where everything is fried!! LOL!!! But, I know I can do this....

I just have to say thank you to my friends here on Spark who have stayed with me, and still encourage me after long breaks... I love you all so much!!!!

    Your scarecrow story had MY heart beating fast! It's kind of like walking past a mirror and scaring yourself. I like the idea of taking one thing and concentrating on that for 28 days. I need to up my water intake...that's going to be my focus. Wishing you JOY for the JOurneY... emoticon

The group you and your hubby are starting sounds great. I will be keeping you all in my prayers and hoping it will be a real blessing to all who attend! emoticon

Your plan for cutting back little by little is a great plan! It is so much easier to just concentrate on one bad habit at a time. I cut out diet soda in July 2011 & this July cut out all sodas. It really makes you appreciate water all the more.
