Well, tonight I really overate in a very unIOWL way. But since Renee says that slip ups are part of the process, I'm here for my redo, to self-correct and get back on track.
Thursdays are proving to be hectic. I have to take my daughter to a late class, we get home late, I had a lot of extra work stress and felt exhausted and harried. I wound up eating dinner, in the car, on the way home, got a work call (with a headset), my daughter was talking to me at the same time. Oy vey, it was not a mindful meal at all. I then came home, and while my daughter was relaxing in the tub, I ate a second dinner standing up. The entire meal was healthy - veggies, brown rice, beans, but HUGE portions, gulped down, often standing or driving. And now my tummy hurts!
So here is my redo, which is also a predo for next week's late nights...
I drive home and my daughter has her dinner, because she is in the back and has a little lapdesk and can eat mindfully. But I just drive! Then at home, while my daughter takes her bath, I sit at my table and slowly eat my reasonably portioned out dinner. I enjoy it all and feel sated with just the right amount. Then I get my daughter out of the tub feeling healthy, clean and light. And we both go to bed early. EASY!!
This is my plan for next week on Monday and Thursday. My daughter will be fine and I'll feel great.
Now if only my tummy would feel better!
