I have no good reason why I gained four pounds so I'm not going to try to lie to myself with excuses ! Lol . I did go to Texas this past weekend and it seemed as though my only goal in mind was to eat tons of BBQ and fried foods. On one hand, of course I regret it but on the other, I'm not upset at all!! "When in Rome" right? The best thing to keep in mind for next time (and always!) is MODERATION, MODERATION, MODERATION. And I'll tell ya, all that junk made me soooo tired and not have much energy. And while I was in the lone star state, I picked up a pair of running shoes to make up for my mishaps :)
Unfortunately the kids were unexpectedly sick this week and also had a holiday on Wednesday, so I learned another great lesson: EXERCISE FIRST THING! NO EXCUSES! Because if you put it off, it's easier to avoid! Just got to get in the swing of things when it comes to waking up early! But "early" is only around 7ish, so I think I can handle the challenge!
When I left for TX I was 153 and came home 157/8. 4 days. Yeah, I know. So since I've been home I've been eating around 12/1300 calories, and using preportioned Lean Cuisine meals (good to have coming back from a fatty weekend) and feeling great because of it! This has been going on today and the last two days and I'm at 155 and I have no doubt by the end of the weekend I'll be back to 153 and counting down. I plan on resuming a fitness routine on Monday. I hate beginning in the middle of the week? I can't be the only one out there? Although it kinda goes against the "lifestyle change" theory. But anyways, I found a great treadmill routine on Shape.com that I'm going to give a go on Monday (M-F), as well as J.Michaels 30DS Level 1 on Mon, Level 2 on Wed & Level 3 on Fri's with pilates on Tues and Thurs. I feel like this is the BEST plan for me to stick to!
I'm really crossing my fingers I can stay on track this weekend! Tomorrow is "date night" (at the bar.... WATER w/ LEMON, PLEASE! Maybe ONE glass of wine ;) Saturday I'm visiting my best friend at school three hours away and I've already given her the heads up I'd like to be calorie-light and veggie-heavy :). Sunday is a baby shower! This scares me, because usually someone in the family will make a salad - but it's 7layer! Uh oh. I'm thinking lots of water, big meal beforehand, and snack on veggies (if available) or a slice of cheese and a few crackers? Or maybe I'll just have to pack a protein bar! Really loving the "Simple Truth" bars I found at Kroger!!
Check back in after the weekend! :)
