Okay, wasn't able to blog yesterday due to internet issues -- so this is a combined blog. My 30 day challenge has entailed sticking to the SP plan, tracking in the tracker daily, and blogging daily to help me remain accountable. So far, it's been working actually. That's not to say that there haven't been challenges -- and I haven't been getting in as much exercise the last three days as I would have liked -- but I'm making healthy changes and sticking with it.
PLUS, I'm about to move up from a green medal to a red one I think. So yippie. I like the little points system -- it keeps me interested. As I am now at Days 11 & 12 (finished), there are two more days left of my two week fast break. I'm happy to say that I've done pretty well staying on top of the goals. Not sure if I move into a new phase after the fast break -- but I imagine next week will be a bit more of a challenge, especially as I feel like the momentum is starting to slow already. Haven't weighed myself with a me-day yet -- waiting until the official 2 week mark -- but I hope it is in the right direction.
So for the last two days of Fast Break:
-Get in a hike tomorrow morning bright and early before it's a million degrees.
-Track track and track.
-Make a list of house things that need to be done (I do much better with a big list, then I don't constantly run through things in my head all day and night.)
-Lastly, get some good nights rest tonight (last two days were restless nights which are starting to catch up with me.)
-Oh one more last thing -- HAVE FUN!
I am really trying to think about refocusing things in my life and reprioritizing. It's not easy, but the fact that I'm starting the conversation in my head is a good sign. My big issue, is that for me, my job has always played a much bigger role in my life than I think it really should (i.e. everything has always taken a backseat to my job). While I like what I do, I think it is time to shift some priorities around. There are some other things -- like ME -- that need some more attention than they have been getting for awhile. So that's one of the 'big picture' goals for me with this 30 day challenge.
Okay, on that note -- time for bed and tomorrow will be another day to show I can accomplish this one step at a time.
