Before and after shots of my daughter and her journey!

Wednesday, September 26, 2012

I should have taken a 'before' picture of my daughter...I know I see a major difference in her and the measurements certainly tell that same story!

So hopefully these show what I can see...

this was taken at the end of April/12. We had a rough time getting the zipper up on this size 14 (ladies) dress. 5', 1.5" and 135lbs

This was taken at the end of July/12. She was 5',2.5" and 147lbs

Here she is the last week of Aug /12
5'3" and 133lbs

this was taken 2days ago, she is 5',3" tall and 129lbs. The dress she could barely get done up in April literally falls off her now!

This too was taken 2 days ago

She has lost over 3" in her thighs, over 4 in her belly, her chest is down 1". her hips are down over 4 as well...and her weight is down almost 18lbs since August 8Th

She is so determined and committed to this healthier lifestyle and portion control that she puts me to shame I tell ya! She wants to run a 5K in October as well as has been able to do more in gym class and has far more energy all around.

Her self esteem has improved greatly and she has gone from a size 14 ladies pants to a 10...almost 8!

I am very proud of my daughter!!!

Did your daughter initiate her own weight loss journey?? That is so commendable of her at such a young age. I always worry when I see kids on diets because I remember all the diets my mom and doctors put me on and ultimately it hurt me more than anything. But when I look at your daughter I don't see that pain that I felt. My fiance said that he got into fitness when he was around her age because his mom had to take him to the Husky boys dept to shop and he decided in the 6th or 7th grade that he was going to change. His mom says he just started doing it on his own and they all encouraged him. NOw fitness is just part of his life and I think it is because it has always been his choice. Good for her and I know you are just proud mommy. Now when are we going to see new pics of you???????

You have a beautiful daughter!!!! You are a great mom for helping her accomplish this. Being a young girl can be very hard. Hopefully knowing she has accomplished this will give her the confidence to do anything she puts her mind to! Is she on spark kids? WAY TO GO BOTH OF YOU!

Kudos to both of you. I know seeing your great example is what motivated her to get on the journey to begin with. I hope to be able to do the same for my daughter. Your Princess looks beautiful. Great pics by the way.
