Doing More

I am so excited as I am working on doing more. My current supervisor is moving on to a new job, which is great for her, sad for me as she is fabulous. She and I are going to be doing a Zumba class once a week beginning next Monday and I am so excited about it. Before I was pregnant with little man I was in a Zumba calls through our local parks department, but it was not fantastic, then I became pregnant and had horrific morning sickness-all the time. So I am so exited to be starting this.

I have also signed up to begin volunteering with a local therapeutic horsemanship organization. One of my bachelor's degrees is in therapeutic horsemanship and since we had to put Bella, my TB down last year I haven't done anything with horses. I am excited to be volunteering and doing something that is both good for me and for the community.

I weighed in today and I am at 241-down 11lbs from my post-partum weight and I am thrilled with the progress. I also signed up for the 1 mile beginner run for the "trick or treat" 5K. Last year I did the 5K, but I had only 1 kiddo, so I had more time to train. I know I will be able to do a mile, but my push will be to run it. I also signed up for the rookie running program for a 5K and I am going to do my best to accomplish this. I just hope I haven't put too much on my proverbial plate.

Right now my husband is in a conference in Atlanta, he left this morning, so I will see how balancing the two munchkins goes with him being gone and my exercising. I have pre-planned my meals. Tonight is not the healthiest, we are having lunchables, but some days you just need to do what you need to do. Tomorrow and Friday nights I have a student coming to help me and I have made stuffed mushroom caps with low fat feta, tomatoes and spinach. Friday we are going to have pasta (wheat) and clam sauce (homemade), with wilted spinach, mushrooms and bay scallops. These are foods that my husband really does not like to eat, so I am so excited to be able to eat them and I am hoping T will too!
