Back on the bike, kinda

Wednesday, September 26, 2012

I was all set to ride my bike to work today. I had fixed the visor on my bike helmet (which popped off in the accident), I had my injured palm wrapped up, I jumped on my bike, peddled, and went...nowhere. Apparently, the peddles go, the chain cycles, but there's something wrong between the chain and the tires; it just doesn't catch.

So I got to take a taxi to work today, and I have to find time to take my bike in to get it fixed. (It might just be cheaper to buy another $80 Target bike.)

If you're okay with buying a cheap bike from Target consider buying the replacement plan. I don't know if Target offers it, but ToysRUs does. It's worth it with those bikes. Anything goes wrong with it, and they take care of it. No deductible or anything. Though I guess the deductible would be the cost of the plan because it's only good for one replacement and if you use it, you can buy another plan to protect the replacement, or just go uncovered. Good luck!
