Almost bounced off the wagon

Wednesday, September 26, 2012

Well, although I have been eating alright, I haven't been working out half as much as I should be. With no efforts at strength training. Today, I'm going to the gym and its going to happen. I'm also going to weigh myself, which I haven't done in a few weeks (yes, I was afraid!)
I've also been drinking and smoking this week, which is how I got out of shape so badly to begin with. I've got to stop! I want to stop! So today, I'm making the goal that I will be healthy today. One day at a time. emoticon

Here's a question for you? Have you done a 5K yet? Walk, jog, run or crawl, if you haven't, do so. It's a short term goal and I'm sure you will see a more urgent calling to stop smoking. It will also keep you training to do so. I did 14 5Ks before I went crazy and did a Half! I like that kind of crazy now!

Yes, I used to smoke as well. Needless to say, I found it so much easier to run after I quit. I'm getting ready to hit a very busy Half schedule soon and there's no way, I could ever think about another cigarette. Just saying' Right Here, Right Now! Stay strong!

Sometimes it just means that your gonna be healthy this minute, maybe not the next but this next minute your gonna make the right choice.

I'm glad you made the goal to be happy today and I hope you got to the gym. I find I tend to put off strength training, too.
Good for you for not giving up! We can do it a day at a time - sometimes an hour at a time!
