Moving On

Another good day!!!!

I found a workout on SP that was for runners and beginner runners. I decided to try it since my form of exercise is walking (I am doing the walking 5K in 5 weeks plan now and plan to move on to the next level everytime I complete a program). Well.... I am so out of shape I had to modify the beginners' program. But I know I will get stronger the more I do it so I'm not focused on my current lack of strength. My modifications weren't too much. I did 1 set instead of 2, I did modified pushups instead of inclined pushups, and I did 1 modified plank for 60 seconds instead of 2 sets of 15. So that's not bad and I will build up to 2 sets and more planks and so on. Afterwards, I decided to go for another walk. Today wasn't my scheduled 5K Plan walk so I wasn't focused on how far or how long I walked. I work a 12 hour shift sitting at a desk with no lunch break so the walking helps to give me some movement in the day so I won't be completely sedentary plus it makes me feel better being outside since I am inside most of the day. I ended up walking 1.15 miles in 20 minutes.

I feel great. My face has a lot of color to it almost like I've been on vacation. (I am vampire pale) I haven't put on sunblock for the walks like I usually would because I have a vitamin D deficiency that I am taking prescription vitamin D to fix. Everything I have read says that exposing face and arms for 10-15 minutes a day will increase vitamin D so I figured I would use my walks to help with the D problem. Must be getting better, I feel a lot more energy.

I ate well so far. I work 6pm-6am so I have only eaten breakfast and lunch so far. I have dinner and a snack in my bag waiting for me to get hungry. I logged all of it and I will be under my calorie budget for the day.

All in all, its looking good.

I wore my super cute, super tall, sexy maryjanes today since I'm feelin so good about myself. Think I might treat myself this weekend. I need to think up a good treat. emoticon
