Day 35: Binge-y

I don't know what's triggered it - whether it's toxins in my liver being released, or hormones, or maybe just genuine emotions, but I have been feeling totally grumpy and binge-y all day today. Maybe I have lost enough weight now (about 15 pounds) that my body is sending binge vibes to stop the weight loss. Whatever it is, I need it to STOP, because I'm finding it very hard to resist and I must say that I already feel the effects of eating too much. I am tired and sore, and the inflammation is back. My mood is also affected (hard to tell on this one, since it seems to be a catch-22). Trying to ride out this storm without doing serious backpedaling. Please give me strength, my Spark friends!

    Hang in there, you can get through this. Your picture really speaks volumes too. I think it's a combination of everything rolled up together. When I have really tough days, I go to the old adage of breaking down the day in small chuncks. I've gone as low as one minute but usually I can chunk it down to 1hr.

    For example, you'd say outloud to the universe: For 30 minutes I will drink my water and read my book. I will resist the pull to the food.

    Keep up the mantra all day, or as long as necessary to move past the obstacles. I find it really helps me to stay focused.

    we get is never the answer and if you eat then you will absolutely feel worse.
    what do you need to do for yourself? are you feeling anxious? stressed? do you need to 'take care of yourself" nurture yourself??
    identify something that you can DO for yourself, distract distract distract...dont sit and wallow int he bingey feelings!

    Sometimes when we're tired or just don't feel well,the binge eating feelings seem stronger.
    Just hang in there-it shall pass and you'll be happy you did not eat!

    Day 35--that alone is evidence that you can weather this storm. Any or all of the above can be causing you to feel this way. Hydrate a LOT to flush out whatever is causing your system to react. You will NOT undo all your progress with a bad day, and you'll bounce back much more quickly. One step at a time. Just be kind to yourself and ride the wave. You'll find your grounding again.
