Finding what moves you and more randomness.

Tuesday, September 25, 2012

Long, long, LONG week and it is only tuesday. Too much on my mind. Today was crazy at work. We went to 5:45 and our last patient was scheduled for 4pm. We were just that far behind and my phone would NOT stop. Really hate these kinds of days.

Stress is kind of getting the better of me. Due to the rather abysmal turnout to my last few events, the bar I have hosted at says they no longer are sure EDM events are worth hosting. This comes from the bar that hosts small time rappers lip-synching over their own tracks. This from the bar that has hosted every poop-speckled craptacular of a metal band to accidentally trip through Montucky. I am asking for one more event to prove myself and it needs to be an all ages event. A courtesy they have granted everyone but me. Whine, whine whine. I know.

Music can be beautiful, but if you love a genre, get off your butt and support it. Especially locally. In that spirit I offer you a Montana DJ, another female one at that, doing her thing. And I just dare you to listen to this while exercising and not find more intensity in your workout. Also want you to know her download is free to put on your MP3 Player.

On the best note of the week, I am down 4 pounds since I topped out the other day. :)

Great job on the 4 lb loss!! I hope things turn around for you or you are able to find another location to hold events. Low turnout could possible be from people thinking that this particular location is where you go to hear bad rap or bad metal so they just don't turn out for your DJ'ing. Maybe a new spot that caters more towards dance//electronic music would generate more buzz overall.

Best of luck to you, hope the stress recedes.
