Well, today was first day of the Passport to Employment course. There are 8 of us and we are all between 55 & 64 and seeking employment. Today, we met and shared info and then we learned how to use a computer. One man had never ever used one, but most of us had. Did learn a few new things though... Day went by quite quickly. But the day was cancelled for tomorrow cuz facilitator thinks we all caught on so quick... he was teaching what I used to teach in 1986!!! Just using Word instead of Word\perfect... But it was nice to know more and be able to help out.
Stopped and picked up green peppers on way home and the lids for pickling jars...When I got home, I couldn't figure out what to make for supper so I had a slice of bologna, a cucumber and a bowl of veggie soup.
Then I had no takers to help with the Million Dollar Relish and no one knew how to make the food processor work, so I cut all the cucumbers by hand... I did use a Bonzai tv slicer/dicer to get the onions and peppers done.. Now they are sitting while I watch Coronation Street and I have to wash bottles and make the brine. Though they are supposed to soak overnite, my sister says it probably won't hurt to only soak them a few hours. Since I have to tak mom to hospital in a.m., I need to finish these tonite... so it will be a late nite, even though I have to get up and be ready to leave in am by 7...... going to catch up with me...
tough and emotional nite having heard some things from a phone conversation.... need to deal with it... not looking forward to it..
